Sha’Carri Richardson has issued a public apology following her arrest at Seattle–Tacoma Airport, where she was accused of assaulting fellow sprinter Christian Coleman. In a short video shared online, Richardson admitted she let her emotions get the best of her, saying, “I’m not perfect… I’m truly sorry to everyone I disappointed — especially my fans and my team.”

The apology comes just days after her electric 11.07-second return to the track, which was quickly overshadowed by the airport incident. Though Coleman declined to press charges, Richardson withdrew from the rest of the championships and now faces questions about her spot at the upcoming World Championships.
For now, she says she’s focused on healing and growth. Whether she returns to compete or not, fans will be watching — hoping this chapter becomes part of a bigger comeback story.
