Terms of use

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These terms apply when you use JAM Radio News (https://jamradio.uk), our live radio player and the JamRadio app. They are published by JAM Radio ("we", "us"). By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. Please read these terms with our privacy policy and cookies page.

What we offer

JAM Radio News is an independent news and culture publication with a live radio station. We publish news, features and culture coverage, live radio, music and related content. It is provided for general information and entertainment. It is not professional advice of any kind.

Using the site

You may read, share links to and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. We may change, pause or stop any part of the site, radio or app at any time. We cannot promise that they will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. You are responsible for your own internet connection, data use, device and any charges from your provider.

Our content and copyright

The stories, pictures, audio, video, logos, design and software on the site and in the app belong to us or are used with permission from the people who own them. All rights are reserved. Other companies' names and trademarks belong to their owners.

You may quote short extracts for news reporting, criticism, review or comment, as UK law allows, if you credit JAM Radio News and link back to the original page. If you want to republish more than that, or use our content commercially, please ask first at [email protected].

Our RSS feed is for personal use in a feed reader. Please do not use it to copy our work at scale.

How we ask you to behave

Please do not:

We may limit or block access if we think someone is misusing the site or putting it at risk.

What you send us

If you send us a story tip, a picture, a comment or anything else, you must have the right to send it. It must not be defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or in breach of anyone's rights. By sending it, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to use, edit, publish, display and broadcast it in connection with JAM Radio News and our radio. We may refuse to use anything. We will treat a tip as confidential if you ask us to. See our editorial standards.

Views in our content

Views in opinion pieces, interviews, comments and embedded content are those of the people who express them. They are not always our views.

Links and embeds from other sites

The site may link to other websites and may include players, posts or embeds from other services, such as YouTube, X, Facebook and Spotify. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or how they treat your information. A link is not an endorsement.

Advertising, affiliate links and sponsored content

Advertising and sponsored content on the site is clearly labelled. Some stories contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something. Sponsored content and affiliate links do not mean we endorse a product unless we say so. An advertiser does not decide what we report. We keep these separate from our editorial work, as explained in our editorial standards.

The app, alerts and driving

If you allow alerts in the JamRadio app or in your browser, we may send you news alerts. You can turn them off in your device or browser settings. Links in alerts and in the app are provided for convenience, and we cannot promise they will open correctly on every device.

If you listen to the app or radio in a car, including through Android Auto, use them safely and legally. Do not use any feature in a way that takes your attention from the road.

No warranty and limits on our responsibility

We work hard to be accurate, but we cannot promise that content is complete, up to date or free of errors. If we get something wrong, see our corrections page. The site, radio and app are provided "as is" and "as available".

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for losses caused by relying on our content in place of proper advice, by interruptions, bugs, third-party services or problems with your device or network. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Your information

How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site, radio or app after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts. Mandatory consumer protections that apply to you are not affected.
