The quarter-final clash was a rollercoaster from the start. Sweden struck twice inside ten minutes, with Kosovare Asllani and Stina Blackstenius putting England on the back foot. But the Lionesses refused to fold. Tactical adjustments from Sarina Wiegman sparked a fierce response, as Chloe Kelly and Lucy Bronze led the fightback. Bronze powered in a header to make it 2–1, before Kelly’s relentless drive created the chaos that allowed Michelle Agyemang to equalise.
