Reality television star Eva Marcille is facing a legal battle with her homeowners association (HOA) over alleged violations of neighbourhood maintenance rules, with the dispute reportedly involving more than $22,000 in outstanding assessments and fines.

According to reports cited by TMZ, the association has taken legal action over claims that Marcille’s property has untreated weeds, an unmaintained lawn, improperly registered or inoperable vehicles, and rubbish bins left in public view. The association reportedly argues that she has been given several opportunities to address the issues but has failed to bring the property into compliance.

The dispute has now taken a more serious turn, with the homeowners association seeking payment of the alleged outstanding sums and asking a judge to order Marcille to resolve the reported maintenance issues.

However, the former model and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is not backing down without a fight. Her lawyer, Michael T. Sterling of Sterling 925, has issued a firm response, making it clear that Marcille intends to challenge the situation.

In a statement reported by Hollywood Unlocked, Sterling insisted that his client would not lose her home over the alleged violations, declaring that she would not be “bullied, intimidated, or threatened out of her home.”

The dispute raises a wider question about the power of homeowners associations, particularly in communities where residents are expected to follow strict rules governing the appearance and upkeep of their properties. While such associations can enforce agreed neighbourhood standards, disagreements over fines, compliance and enforcement can become costly legal battles.

For Marcille, the immediate issue is whether the dispute can be resolved through the legal process without escalating further. The association's allegations have yet to be established as proven facts, and the outcome will depend on the proceedings and any evidence presented.

For now, one thing is clear: Marcille's legal team is standing firm, and this neighbourhood dispute has become a very public battle. Whether it ends in a settlement, a court ruling or an agreement over the alleged violations remains to be seen.
