Antigua and Barbuda Falcons win maiden CPL title

The Falcons chased down 171 with 20 balls to spare against Jamaica Kingsmen in Sunday’s final at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are the champions of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League, beating Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets in the final at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Sunday 20 September.

Chasing 171, the Falcons finished on 173 for two in 17 overs, with 20 balls to spare. It is the franchise’s first CPL title, in a final between the league’s two newest teams.

Moqim leads the bowling

The Kingsmen were held to 170 for nine, despite a 58-ball 114 from Maaz Sadaqat. Sufyan Moqim took four wickets for 14 runs and was named Player of the Match, while Alzarri Joseph took two for 27.

Jangoo and Nawaz see it home

Amir Jangoo top-scored with an unbeaten 57 from 34 balls. He and Hasan Nawaz shared an unbroken stand of 89 to complete the chase.

Falcons all-rounder Shadab Khan was named the tournament’s most valuable player after scoring 132 runs and taking 11 wickets.
