In a chilling display of political extremism, a supporter of far-right figure Tommy Robinson was filmed at Saturday’s “Unite The Kingdom” rally in London calling for the assassination of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. “Keir Starmer needs to be assassinated, someone needs to shoot Keir Starmer,” the man declared on camera, speaking to conspiracy theorist William Coleshill, who replied that Starmer should instead be “lawfully executed.”

The footage, now viral, has ignited outrage across social media, with users demanding immediate arrest. But this isn’t just about one man’s violent rhetoric. It’s about the normalization of political violence in Britain’s far-right circles.

I think this might be incitement to violence rather than Free Speech. pic.twitter.com/cvPVOSOHtt
A far-right protester publicly calls for the assasination of Keir Starmer
The rally, which drew over 110,000 people, was a powder keg of nationalist fervor, anti-migrant sentiment, and conspiracy theories. Union Jacks waved alongside banners mourning American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead in Utah earlier this week.
Adding fuel to the fire, Elon Musk addressed the crowd via video link, accusing the UK government of overseeing a “rapidly increasing erosion of Britain” and warning that “free speech is dying under the weight of globalist censorship.”
Musk, whose video was beamed to the rally on a large screen told Tommy Robinson and his supporters. "Violence is gonna come to you, you will have no choice. You're in a fundamental situation here where whether you chose voilence or not, violence is coming to you, you either fight back or you die." and "You either fight back or you die." the billioniare told far-right protesters

Laurence Fox, another far-right figure, told attendees that “a sword should be taken to people shutting down free speech.”
The Metropolitan Police deployed over 1,000 officers to contain the chaos. By day’s end, 26 officers were injured—four seriously—and at least 25 arrests were made for violent disorder, affray, and assault.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood condemned the violence, vowing that “anyone taking part in criminal activity will face the full force of the law.” But critics say the government’s response has been tepid, and that Britain’s two-tier justice system continues to protect far-right agitators while criminalizing dissent from marginalized communities. The staggering number of Palestine action supportes arrested for peacefully protesting, the on going Genocide in Gaza speaks volumes of where society is headed.
This isn’t free speech. It’s incitement. And it’s time Britain stopped pretending otherwise.
