Government has officially opened applications for the next phase of its funded childcare expansion, giving working parents in England access to 30 hours of free childcare per week for children as young as nine months old.
The new policy, which comes into effect in September 2025, is expected to ease financial pressures on families while providing high-quality early years education for young children. It follows last year’s successful rollout of 15 hours funded childcare, which supported nearly half a million families across the country.

Manchester, Jamaica –Brittania Francis, widely known in the dancehall community as DHQ Chicken, was tragically gunned down in Manchester, Jamaica, early Thursday morning.
