An EasyJet flight from London Luton to Glasgow was urgently diverted on Sunday after a passenger triggered an onboard emergency, reportedly making bomb threats and shouting extremist slogans.
According to eyewitness accounts, the 41-year-old suspect emerged from the aircraft's rear toilet, loudly proclaiming “Allahu Akbar,” followed by “Death to America” and “Death to Trump.” He then claimed to be carrying a bomb, causing widespread panic among passengers.

The flight crew declared an emergency, initiating a rapid descent. Multiple passengers acted swiftly to restrain the man on the cabin floor. Upon landing at Glasgow Airport, the plane was directed to a remote stand where armed police boarded and arrested the suspect.
Police confirmed that the man has been charged and is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court. Counter-terrorism units are now examining passenger footage of the incident circulating on social media.
